If you're a fan of modern homes and fancy a bit of a road trip, here's just the thing. The MADS (Modern Architecture + Design Society) offers up a number of modern home tours throughout the U.S. (and sometimes Canada). They've organized a fantastic self-guided tour of six contemporary Seattle homes on Saturday, September 16.
Using your own vehicle, you can travel to the homes in any order between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on that day. Stay as little or as long as you like reviewing the spaces, features and functions while chatting with the architects, designers and builders.
