Cambie poised for an active spring!

Blog by Robert Matthews | January 18th, 2015

Having sold hundreds of homes throughout Vancouver West and East, and the North Shore, I know the neighbourhoods well. Today, I thought I'd turn the spotlight on the Cambie area.

Home sales in Cambie were relatively slow in November and December. Of 33 listings in November, only 10 detached homes sold. December also saw 33 listings, with just 5 selling that month. While November and December can be slower months, many other Vancouver West and East neighbourhoods were relatively active during these months, particularly in the $1.25m to $1.75m price range.

Cambie remains one of Vancouver's most popular neighbourhoods, however, and is set for a very active spring selling season. In the first two weeks of January -- still relatively early in the prime buying and selling season -- one home has sold and four new homes have been listed. The home that sold was listed at $1,760,000 and sold in 7 days for just under $1.7m, reflecting the popularity of this price point.

If you're thinking of buying or selling in the Cambie area, or in any of the other many neighbourhoods in Metro Vancouver, give me a call at 604-328-9006, or email me, and let's get started! And feel free to contact me at any time if you'd like more information about what's been happening in specific Cambie neighbourhoods, or other neighbourhoods throughout Metro Vancouver. I'll be happy to chat with you. Absolutely no obligation!
