Have you heard of the River District?

Blog by Robert Matthews | March 24th, 2015

It's Vancouver's last waterfront neighbourhood, and the largest waterfront development ever in Metro Vancouver. The River District begins at the foot of Kerr Street near the Fraser River in South Vancouver, and extends eastward to Boundary Road. When completed the area will have more than 7,000 homes, as well as a school, a community centre, restauarants and shops. It's a new, fully-serviced community, similar to a Yaletown or Olympic Village.

With its location on the shores of the Fraser River, River District offers wonderful outdoor opportunities. 1.5 kilometres of riverfront paths and 25 acres of public green space, including two sports fields, will be sure to lure everyone to the great outdoors. The area has been planned with a network of interconnecting streets, sidewalks and walking paths, designed to create a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere.

The area is already home to a great Farmers Market, a community beach volleyball group, and, this year, a Food Truck Fest!

The first phase of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom homes are now in the pre-sale stage. Being on the shores of the Fraser River, with its boat traffic, views and bird life, is, well, magical. Feel free to contact me anytime if you'd like to learn more about this special area.
