Congratulations to clients A and D, excited to close on their new home. Although they’ve been searching since the fall, a slow, patient search was the right strategy as the market cooled over fall and winter. More bang for their buck!
A and D bought in an older building. In such a sitaution I counsel extra due diligence as many older buildings may have issues. These may range from structural and build issues such as parking garage membrane weaknesses, to lax maintenance upkeep. Happily, however, in this case my experience and initial research, then augmented by a prudent building inspection, confirmed the building was in good shape.
