Moving forward

Blog by Robert Matthews | May 12th, 2020

For most of us, the past few months have been a time of great uncertainty. With the first steps to ease restrictions, however, we can begin to move forward and live our lives more fully. For some, that may involve selling and/or buying a home. Most people don't sell and buy on a whim, but as part of a larger scenario of living their lives. And we need to live our lives.

At this moment, there is some positive anticipation about the real estate market going forward. Spring is traditionally one of the busiest times of year for buying and selling real estate. I expect a pent-up desire to sell and buy may evolve into an active market in the coming weeks. For example, I've recently had several inquires from people keen to sell or buy in the next short while, have at least two listings coming up for June, and am actively assisting a number of families looking to buy a home. As perhaps a positive sign of things to come, I'm working on an offer for clients at this moment, that will hopefully result in a sale later today!

If you're thinking of making a move this year, the next few weeks may be a better bet than later this year. Projecting out several months, with so many unknowns and variables at play, it's not possible for anyone to know where things will be at. If you're contemplating a change this year, let's chat.

In closing, I hope that you've not had to experience too much hardship and heartbreak in the past while. Slowly but surely, brighter days are ahead.
